Student Branch Dinner Meeting March 26, 2019

Our speaker: Juli-Anne Lee

ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Medtronic Internal Auditor

Juli-Anne has over 15 years experience working in industries that are regulated by the FDA. Her initial experience with the FDA and Doc Control happened working at an elementary school where she was in charge of implementing and maintaining the food program (breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks).

After leaving the education field she spent over 10 years in document control within 2 of the largest medical device corporations: First within the Johnson & Johnson corporation at Cordis which makes cardiovascular and endovascular products such as catheters and stents.  (Cordis is no longer a J&J company as they were acquired by Cardinal Health in 2015). She then moved to another J&J company, MTS/Microtyping Systems which makes blood bank serology tests. (MTS is also no longer a J&J company as they were acquired by The Carlyle Group in 2014).

After MTS, Juli-Anne moved to Heartware, Inc which was acquired in 2015 by another large medical device company, Medtronic, Inc. Heartware/Medtronic makes a ventricular assist device for individuals with end stage heart failure as a bridge to transplant device.  While at Medtronic, in addition to working in doc control, Juli-Anne started working in the auditing arena conducting internal audits and participating in the external auditing process after receiving ASQ certification as a Certified Quality Auditor in 2013.
