ORLANDO ACEVEDO SCHOLARSHIP
Welcome to our
scholarship section. Section 1510 scholarship is named after Orlando Acevedo
scholarship in
memory of his countless contributions to Section 1510.
Application
must be completed and submitted to:
ASQ Section 1510, Scholarship Committee, ASQ Section 1510, PO Box
823855, Pembroke Pines, FL 33082-3855.
Application
must be postmarked no later than June 20 (of the application year) or must
be hand delivered before June 20.
Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Applicant must be a Section 1510 member or immediate family of a
Section 1510 member. Immediate
family for this purpose refers to spouse, children, and parents of the
member. ASQ membership must be
valid at the time the application is submitted.
Applicant must submit an essay on the subject of “Quality” (between
500 and 1000 words) along with the completed application.
Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Copy of the transcript must be submitted with this application.
Scholarships will be provided only for full time students taking a
minimum of 12 semester credit hours and pursuing undergraduate college
education in an accredited college or university (matriculated in a college
or university). Preference will
be given to students pursuing undergraduate program in areas closely
associated with Quality disciplines (such as Science, Engineering,
Statistics, Business, Education, etc.).
The decision of the Scholarship Committee will be final.
